Sea cucumbers belong to invertebrates, echinoderms, and sea cucumbers. There are more than 900 species in the world, and about 140 species in my country. Among them, the Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific Ocean are the regions with the most species and largest resources of sea cucumbers in the world. my country's sea cucumbers are distributed in the temperate zone and the tropical zone. The temperate zone is mainly in the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea. The main economic species is Apostichopus japonicus, which is also the most well-known sea cucumber species in my country. The tropical zone is mainly in the coastal areas of Guangdong and Guangxi and Hainan. Among them, the Xisha Islands, Nansha Islands and Hainan Island are the main producing areas of tropical sea cucumbers in my country. Sea cucumber is regarded as the "Eight Treasures" among all kinds of mountain and sea delicacies, and it also has a variety of nourishing and health-preserving functions specified by traditional Chinese medicine. For nearly half a century, domestic and foreign scholars have studied more than 40 kinds of sea cucumber chemical components, showing that sea cucumber is not only rich in more than 50 kinds of nutrients required by the human body such as amino acids, vitamins and chemical elements, but also contains a variety of biologically active substances such as acid. Mucopolysaccharides, saponins and collagen, etc., and the pharmacological activities of sea cucumber active substances are very extensive.
